Genova, Italy
I stayed a couple nights in Genova. I had been visiting Cinque Terre and needed to catch a cheap Ryan Air flight back to London. Genova was the closest airport and the flight was only about $100. I stayed at the HI hostel which is actually really nice and quite cheap. Super spacious, super cheap (when I went it was 16Є for an all-female dorm bed) and very clean. It is way up on a hill and overlooks the city. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it locks people out in the afternoon and you have to take about a 20 minute bus ride from the hostel to get anywhere. That being said, what I liked the most about Genova was the shopping! There was a shopping district that I got to on the bus, and it was the last week of my trip so I saved some space in my bag and got my shopping done while I was there. I really enjoyed getting some clothes from the Italian stores!
